    The Industrial Revolution started in 18th century and ended in the first half of the 19th century. Samuel Colt was born 19 July 1814 in Hartford, Connecticut, United States and he died on January 10, 1862 in Hartford, Connecticut. He died a wealthy man. He started his idea of the revolver on a yearlong voyage on the ship Corvo in 1830, where he made designs of his first revolver out of wood. In 1836 Samuel Colt received a U.S. patent for a revolver mechanism that would enable any gun to shoot multiple shots at one time. At first the business did not go so well, until April 1846 when the Mexican war occurred and the U.S. military ordered 1,000 Colt revolvers.
