    found in his truck. He had been shot, and the killer was never identified (Newton, n.d.). In 1986, it finally happened. Richard Kuklinski was arrested. Special Agent Dominick Polifrone was hired by New Jersey State Police detective Pat Kane (Newton, n.d.). With the help of Phil Solimene, Agent Polifrone was able to go undercover and be introduced to Kuklinski. Agent Polifrone was able to convince Kuklinski that he had a job for him. Kuklinski then described in detail how he would carry out the assignment. With this information, the police were able to arrest Kuklinski and bring him in. After being charged with five murders in 1988, Kuklinski was sentenced to multiple life sentences. One of his charges was for the murder of Salvatore Gravano, the underboss of the Gambino crime family that hired Kuklinski to kill a New York detective (Newton, n.d.). He then pleaded guilty to the murder of NYPD Detective Peter Calabro in 2003 (Newton, n.d.). While in prison, Kuklinski accepted interviews and visits from criminologists and psychiatrists after first denying their requests. He appeared in two HBO documentaries, one being The Iceman Confesses: Secrets of a Mafia Hitman. He also admitted to his involvement in the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa (Biography Editors, n.d.). His charges also include the murders of Gary Smith and Daniel Deppner. They worked with Kuklinski with robberies and thefts. He was accused of “strangling the men after poisoning both with cyanide” (Newton, n.d.).…
