    Some people have never heard about the Stonehenge, for me this is the first time I hear about it. However, through research I have learned some important information about it. The Stonehenge is considered as one of the most famous prehistoric monuments that are found around the world. It is one of the sites that are visited most often by tourists. The Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire, England. It is found on the southern side of the Salisbury Plains which are 13 km north of Salisbury. The Stonehenge is a basically a large landscape that is circular, with large standing stones. Archaeologists have divided the construction of the monument over three phases. Archaeologists are still not sure what the main function of the Stonehenge was. There are debates on what the exact function for the Stonehenge. Some archaeologist say that it was a cremation site, while other archeologists argue by stating it that it was built as a relief site, or an astronomy site. The Stonehenge was constructed over three phases. Phase one is the earliest form of construction, which dates back to the early third millennium.
