    this cultural slang needs to be avoided. Many at the table had used the slang and as she pointed out, it was not meant to offend of harm. She related the situation to two adults saying that to one another, and the members all agreed that they understood the perspective that she was saying and that it could lead to a negative climate in the classroom as well as issues with the child’s confidence. Saint Leo University Core Values. This group meeting also upheld the Saint Leo University Core Values of respect and community. During the meeting I saw multiple examples of respect from the leaders as well as the members of the group for one another. They were all cooperative and freely interacting with each other. There was laughter and humor between all members of the organization. In addition, I also felt that there was a sense of community between the members. They were branches of the same family that comes together for an event. There were greetings from one another and kind questions as to how each other was doing. For me this was a great example of both core value of Saint Leo University. Conclusion. My reaction to observing this group was that it was a group that had entered the working stages and was able to accomplish the tasks that were given to them. The strengths of the individual group facilitator were patience, active listening, being reflective, questioning, and having empathy for the members of her group.
