Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 06:18 Hrs. I observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Brock Services LLC building and Riverside Auto Dealership located at 341 US-90. The vehicle pulled up to the exit of the parking lot and remained stationary for a few seconds and then traveled east on the service road to Oak St. The vehicle turned south onto Oak St. at a high rate of speed as I was turning onto the service road from US-90. I lost sight of the vehicle until I arrived at Oak and Da La Point Dr. I observed the vehicle traveling west on De La Point Dr. and then south on Dubarry Dr. I followed the vehicle south onto Dubarry Dr. and into 2804 Magnolia Oaks apartments. Due to the change in the driving behavior upon my presence, erratic speed, and recent burglary of a business in the close vicinity, I initiated an investigative stop. I observed three occupants in a gold Suzuki Forenza (AL tag V63447) that came back to Paul Dube. Before my approach to the vehicle I observed what appeared to be and exchange between the driver and passenger. The back window was broken out and covered with plastic. I made contact with the female driver Erika Allen, and asked why they were between Brocks and Riverside auto dealer after closing hours. Allen advised she was lost and got turned around in the fog trying to locate Magnolia Oaks. I asked for Allen’s driver license and she was not able to provide them. She was very nervous and was shanking uncontrollably. I asked the male…

What Is in a Name? Does your name reflect what you do in your life? If you were a character in C.S. Lewis’s book, Perelandra, your name would describe you, and reveal your personality. C.S. Lewis used the names of his characters to portray their significance, and their place in the plot of the story. His characters’ names have been thought-out, making each name coordinate with the overall story, and coordinating with the stories hidden beneath the main plot. Each name is intentional, and has a…

The Chronicles of Narnia is one of the most celebrated English literary series of the 20th century. The author, C. S. Lewis, wrote this series with a correlation of core concepts, major themes, and key symbols among the books. Three key themes that Lewis focuses on are the idea that God, directly and indirectly, influences our lives, the representation of Satan through the witches, and how persons deal with their sin and how they must discover and repent of their sin to be successful in life…

During the time Lewis was in college and later as a tutor for the college, some his readings exposed him to material by christian authors. Those authors were George MacDonald, and G.K. Chesterton, who was also a journalist, this is a quote of Lewis speaking of the effect these two authors had on his atheistic life, “In reading Chesterton, as in reading MacDonald, I did not know what I was letting myself in for. A young man who wishes to remain a sound Atheist cannot be too careful of his…

The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis portrayed evil in a way that I found extremely interesting. A demon named Screwtape writes letters to his nephew, Wormwood, to guide him on trying to keep a human away from God. He tells Wormwood that he should keep his “Patient” busy and never allow him time to get close with God. The way that evil is portrayed is interesting because it is never manifested to the human. It is just a force prompting them to do certain things that will eventually lead them to…

The Chronicles of Narnia book series, for years, has been under the watchful eye of Christians and Non-Christians alike in search of Biblical parallels. There are the more obvious parallels: Aslan’s death on the Stone Table in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe/Jesus’ death on the cross, the Rapture/the end of Old Narnia in The Last Battle, and the two creation stories found in Genesis/The Magician’s Nephew. However, there are far more subtle Biblical parallels that Lewis himself might not…

What is happiness? Do we have a right to have it? In the essay “We have no Right to Happiness” C. S Lewis claims that we do not have a right to happiness and sets his foundation on an anecdote. Throughout our life we meet so many different people; some are happy while some are not, but it is not up to us to decide whether they are happy or not, and what makes one person happy would make another person happy, or whether it is the right path to happiness. In the article mentioned above, Lewis…
