Just use cool and warm air rather than hot. For straightening do not make it a daily habit. If you have texture to your hair, meaning wavy or curly, you can straighten it and keep it straightened by not washing it and wasting your work. For shampooing you want to train the hair so that you’re not washing everyday or even every other day in some cases. Lastly, with tight styles try making them looser or only do them once in awhile. A good rule of thumb is the less you do the better. All of these things should be done at least in moderation to have healthy soft hair. If you feed your body junk that is how you will feel and appear, like junk. However, notice when you feed it nutritious food you get the results you want. The same rule applies to hair if you feed into these bad habits the health of you hair will be low. But when you avoid them and take healthy steps you will get the best your hair can be.
