The desire to get what one wants is a natural characteristics that the human race possesses. We want things now and we are not afraid to make it known. Often we can provide certain things for ourselves like clothes, food, and shelter but there also things that require persuading someone in order to obtain something we need, like buying car or purchasing a home, but one must be able to negotiate in order to obtain one’s target point especially when dealing with money, which can make interpersonal persuasion challenging at times. Persuading someone to get something that one wants requires a carefully thought out plan, because one must be prepared for anything that may stand in their way of getting what they want. When dealing with another person who holds power of the outcome a given situation, it is important that one is knowledgeable about what they are going after, and they give a great first impression. Demanding to have something is not going to get one what they want, that is not how one should use interpersonal persuasion. Instead being demanding will lessen one’s chances of obtaining that specific thing that one desires, which borchers calls compliance gaining because one is trying to get what they want by acting in a certain way, in order to influence the other person to give them what they want or promising to do something so the person will do what one wants them to do (Borchers 2013). An example of compliance gaining will be a mother and child relationship where a…

money alone (Ripley). It would seem logical, due to this money being donated and raised to support the ones left behind, to split it evenly within those that will receive it. Yet it was still divided by occupation and those that had a higher up position, received the most. It seems almost uncomprehend able as well, that the families would them sue for more money to keep up with their life style, given that their deceased loved one was so much more higher up socially. (Ripley) No person’s…

no freedom at all. The learning system that I though of was playing charades with the characters we learned in English class. It may sound simple, because it is, but it allows students to become more naturally attached to the characters. When people play this game they get to experience the character as they would in the books, but this time in the real world. Instead, read what the character does or say, people actually hear and see what they do, and it would make those characters more natural…
Have ever seen the James Bond movies or books before? While watching a movie have you ever thought “I don’t agree with that?” You want to know the opinion on this movie? People have families and live together with happiness. Some people do not have families and live alone because they decided not to get married. Some people around me who does not have families say it is really comfortable being alone, if they have to care about someone else it is too much effort. Also it is uncomfortable. There…

When Ali and Goodell made these decision’s, they tested people’s ideas, shaped their knowledge and they attempted to build a community through their actions. Ali had no fear when it came to standing up for what he…

When watching “Pirates, Galleons, and Treasure: Globe Trekker”, one certainly does learn something about pirates and their history. However, that does not mean the documentary is particularly useful. In fact, the documentary while mostly accurate still has some small discrepancies and does not provide enough detail for it to be helpful to those actually studying pirates. The documentary is a fun resource for those who want basic facts, but leaves some facts to assumptions and seems to gloss over…
