Fargo is a dark crime comedy released in 1996, directed by Joel Coen; written by Joel and Ethan Coen. The cast includes: Chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand); Jerry Lundegaard ( William H. Macy); Carl Showalter ( Steve Buscemi); Gaear Grimsrud ( Peter Stormare); Wade Gustafson ( Harve Presnell); Mike Yanagita ( Steve Park) The opening of the movie described the balance, by showing a snowy / aggressive weather condition in Minnesota and North Dakota. Main Characters were introduced as a happy, normal family composed of Jerry (the husband), his wife and son. The ignition of the movie was revolved when Jerry decided to hire 2 persons Showalter and Grimsrud (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife and ask for 80 000 USD in order to resolve his financial problem. He is counting on his father in law (wealthy man) to pay for the return of his daugther. He promised Showalter and Grimsrud to split the 80 000 USD. The intensity started to raise when Jerry decided to stop the kidnap plan but had no way to contact the 2 guys in charge. The kidnap was done but went wrong causing several murders. Police started investigations on the crimes and Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand), a pregnant chief officer was in charge. The movie is based on a true story, but what make it special is the script written by brother Coen.
