His parents were Richard Boyle and Catherine Fenton. When Boyle was a child he was fostered to a local family, also his elder brothers. Boyle had gotten taught Greek and French and when he was about eight years of age, following the death of his mom, he was sent off to Eton College in England. At this time Roberts father hired him a tutor, Robert Carew. Spending time with the tutor, they visited Italy in 1641 and stayed in Florence in the winter studying paradoxes of the great star-gazer.…
