    was a wave of revolution across Europe known as the Revolutions of 1848. The revolutionary wave began in France. These wars began when unhappy citizens in France, Germany, Italy, and Austria began to rebel against their monarchies. Each of these revolutions failed, they were begun by universal factors that pushed oppressed citizens to the point of rebellion. Peasants throughout Europe were forced to fend for themselves during an extended period of poor grain harvests and resulting diseases, such as Typhus fever, that are induced by hunger.
