Reserve Officers' Training Corps

In today's society, The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps is a program that combines amusing benefits for the individual cadet and opportunities to serve the school and community. While teaching leadership skills for the cadet’s daily lives and incorporating the military foundation, covering the history, techniques for oral communication, drill and ceremony, and marksmanship. The JROTC program seeks for exemplary citizens making the community a better place. In 1916 the program had a different goal, it was meant to commission officers in the military, but over time JROTC is used as a resource for success. By introducing cadets with the necessary traits for their careers, military or civilian, JROTC directs cadets to become effectual leaders and citizens of our nation. The JROTC became into passage due to the National Defense Act in 1916 on June 3. The 1916 National Defense Act provided high schools to have a loan of federal military equipment and the assignment of active duty military personnel as instructors.
