    only the seeking of independence for Bosnia became a problem in controlling the Bosnian, but also the willing of the “Serbs to be part of the dominant Serbian state in the Balkans” (History.com, paragraph 4) Bosnian Serbs launched their offensive with the backing of Milosevic and Yugoslav army to be part of the dominant Serbian state in Balkans. They attacked eastern Bosnia, Zvornik, Foca, and Visegrad and get rid of Bosniak civilians in a cruel process that meanwhile identified as ethnic cleansing. Ethnic cleansing is the killing of the people of an unwanted religion or ethnic in a society. With the help of the Croatian army, the government was able to control the Bosnian Serbs, while the Karadick’s party was able to “set up their own Republika Srpska in the east” (History.com). Because of the problems and struggles the Bosnia were facing, the “United Nation refused to intervene in the conflict in Bosnia, but a campaign spearheaded by its High Commissioner for Refugees provided humanitarian aid to its many displaced, malnourished and injured victims” (History.com, paragraph 5). Meaning, the UN would rather help the people in Bosnia, than get involved in any conflict nor problems in Bosnia. These conflicts were one of the main reasons why the war started.
