As the Internal Advertising Editor, my role is to maintain GTV updating slides with current content and events going on in the school. Although my role for the yearbook seems very small I have found that it is really important to the students of GCI. When thinking about my relationship skills I would rate myself a 9 for collaboration, a 6 for conflict resolution and 9 for coaching. Collaboration comes easy for me as I like to work in groups. I find that I look at things differently than I do when working alone, which of course is a key component of collaboration. Today the project manager came to me to talk about the embed project that I was working on yesterday. I told him that I submitted my final quote and received the bids from our subcontractors. Then I gave him my plan to complete the other RFI’s on my list for the day. Today I received several emails and RFI’s that I had to address by the end of the day. On Thursday, October 26th, it was very disappointed not being able to assist to my last rotation at First Choice. For these last two rotation it was a very enriching experience to work with patient at this location. During my sophomore year I applied for the Van Meter National Honors Society. In order to be accepted into NHS you must possess the qualities of character, leadership, service, and the scholarship requirement a 3.5 GPA. I felt I met all of the requirements and thoroughly wrote the letter application. I turned it into the teacher committee and they returned a letter saying that I didn’t meet their standards. I would agree with Richtel’s assessment. Take Facebook for an example; since 2004, more and more people have signed on to the social media site, so much connecting and sharing goes on in a twenty-four-hour day that it would be nearly impossible to keep up with everything. The more people who sign in, the more people who use/ abuse sites such as these create more pressure on themselves to look cool and have fulfilling lives.
