In the poem, “To Autumn”, Keats signifies the notion of life and death. He uses sequences of autumn to symbolize the undeniable truth of death. In the poem, each stanza contains its own individual moment of autumn. The first stanza emphasizes the season’s beginning stage; the stanza contains various figurative languages and rhetorical devices in which formulate how fruits are abundant and how crops are being grown. The abundant and plentitude supply suggest that autumn is a season of development. Keats uses series of imagery to illustrate how plants and fruits are being grown during autumn. For example, Keats mentions, “To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees”. Keats has suggests that apples are being grown excessively in which their weights bend down the branches of the tree. As the poem progresses, we can notice how Keats has use the last two lines of the first stanza as a transitional statement to the second stanza. The last two lines suggest that the bees are unaware that the growing period of autumn will eventually cease. “Until they think warm days will never cease…” Keats uses the last two lines to progress his idea of the early autumn where fruits and plants grow, to the second stanza where harvesting takes place. In the second stanza, Keats begins it with a rhetorical question. The device is meant to personify the season of autumn. Keats personifies autumn as a goddess; the rhetorical question, “who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store”, suggests that Keats…

It was a frigid Halloween evening, and we were standing in line for the Ruby Falls Haunted Caverns. There were people standing in front of us, behind us, and beside us because of the way the line was setup. Most people stayed in their own groups, huddled together for warmth. The line was right beside the road/parking lot where cars kept searching for spots to park in. To the right of us was a rocky face leading to a dark, concealed forest. Hunter and I sat on a rock about halfway there. Hunter…
