    Medical drama has always been a fairly popular genre on television, but it has grown so much within the past few years. What exactly is medical drama? A medical drama is a televised show that has a setting of a hospital, or surgery room, and typically has characters acting as doctors or nurses. During these medical shows more events happen beyond the medical part, and goes further than the events that pertain to the characters’ job. A typical medical drama portrays some aspects of characters’ personal lives including their love lives, finances, etc. One of the most popular shows in today’s society that has successfully exploded across the nation is Grey’s Anatomy. Grey’s Anatomy began early in the 2000s, but has gained most of its’ success past 2010s. The show first aired on American Broadcasting Company (ABC) on March 27, 2005 (IMBD 1). With the daily growth of episode numbers, the current number is at 269. There are 269 episodes aired of heartbreak, lust, love, and tears. Ever since the show being brought to the most popular online streaming service, Netflix, the fan base has increased rapidly.
