The siblings soon decided on a compromise; Henry would name Isabella heir to the throne instead of Joanna, and Isabella would not marry without his consent, but Henry could not force Isabella to marry against her will and the war would come to an end (Wikipedia, 2016). On the 19th of October, when Isabella was eighteen years old, she married Ferdinand, prince of Aragon and bore five children. Isabella then became queen of Castile in 1474. At this time, Castile was in a state of anguish due to Henry’s reign. He did little to enforce any laws on the kingdom, causing chaos and ruckus.
