Reflective Journal 2 – Groups Presentation I enjoyed the experience of working in a group to produce a presentation about a topic collectively decided by us all as a team. A significant issue that stood out to me was my nerves about public speaking. Being told about the presentation made me anxious before we even started as I knew that I was not confident speaking in front of other people whether I know them or not. It has always been a weakness of mine, however I had confidence knowing that my classmates were going to look after me if I choked up. I believe that having a practice in front of the group could have helped me when it came to speaking in front of the whole class. Only having read through my script on my own quietly to…

For our final project in class group four, that consisted of myself, and three other people spent the last five weeks on our presentation. This process involved weekly group meetings, establishing rules, planning and implementing duties, researching topics, presentation, and ending the group. This process over the last few weeks proved to be challenging and rewarding for the team. One of the most complicated factors that the group experienced started at week three where member B could not…

The store manager then had a meeting with all the employees in the store a few weeks later reiterating that taking anything from the store without paying for it is stealing and that we have an obligation to report activity if we are aware of it. This created a personal conflict (Stojkovic, et al, 2015) as I was battling with myself about the right thing to do. However, it was impossible to do the right thing as my co-workers would treat me differently and I would become isolated from the group.…

Reflective Statement Yesterday we have to do our group presentation about critical analysis of three articles and comparing them. And this is my reflection on it. Our group consists of five women; Myself, Zamaraath (leader), Mariam, Ruya, Anjum and one man; Aswadh. In our group presentation, there were areas where are presentation excelled and areas where our presentation could have been improved. Our transitions from one topic to the next lacked fluidity across the board. I struggled with reading the evidence I was using to support my claim which distracted me and the audience. Otherwise, the group was able to smooth talk about their topics without much issue. If we had practiced the speech once or twice, transitions between topics would have been more…

Group Presentation Critique Our delivery was good, but like anything in life, could’ve been better. We worked hard and focused on transitioning from person to person smoothly, so that our transitions did not seem awkward. We made the mistake of not checking out what computer we’d be using and what we would need to bring in order to show our power point. This hindered our delivery because we had a tough time getting started. We also failed to try and run the video used in the presentation…

Group presentations, although sometimes difficult, can be very beneficial to a student in many ways. When there is equal participation among group members they learn to work together towards a goal, trust others to do their allotted portion, and also get to know one another in the process. This last Thursday I felt like my group, Peter Kost, Ariel Wallace, and Emily Chandler, was able to present a well thought out and carefully prepared presentation. Though there were some struggles in the…

Through the overall groups presentation, each group uses different ethical theories to analyze the cases which gives the audience a more intuitive and comprehensive understanding. I think each group’s speech is very successful which also gave the audience a lot of inspirations. I would show my evaluation of the speeches though this presentation response paper. In the first round of presentation, there are three groups respectively analyzed the case of Enron, Walmart and Wells Fargo and each…
