It also allows for the open space element to be enforced by making sure that parks and trails are accessible to the people, not only raising property values and keeping the views visible, but also encouraging a healthier lifestyle. I may not have a great amount of experience when it comes to city planning and what is absolutely required when it comes the future growth of the community, but I honestly feel as though Scottsdale’s comprehensive plan is very thorough when it comes to its vision, while simple enough for the average citizen to be able to comprehend most of what is being envisioned for the city. The Zoning Ordinance is more than enough as it is very vigorous and has an ordinance for almost anything that may be legally concerning the planning of a new building or infrastructure and how to proceed with said plan. I feel as though in a rare case there may be a very detailed situation in which the city would then have to make a decision versus being able to look in up in the zoning ordinances. In my opinion, it is to the benefit of the current or future residents of the city to have both of these documents made available to them as they are able to see what is valued by the city as a whole and what is and isn’t allowed/appreciated.
