    As a young child, I can recall my grandparents taking me to a local ice cream parlor in Columbus, Indiana called Zaharakos. The ice cream parlor is most famous for it’s old fashioned ice cream and it’s pipe organ. While you were eating ice cream, you could sit and listen to the pipe organ play in the background on a hot, summer day. In the reading about the pipe organ, it mentions that one of the different ways it makes different sounds is through flue or reed pipes.
