  • Shear Strength Experiment Analysis

Result 4.1 Experimental Analysis The experimental work is carried out to evaluate the shear strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete deep beams without stirrups. For this 18 beams are cast. The beams are tested under two-point loading as per IS after 28 days curing. Fiber fraction is varied as 0%, 1.5% and 3%. The shear span-to-depth ratio (a/d ratio) for beams is kept as 0.60 for case-I and 0.74 for case-II. The cube compressive strength is estimated. The experimental results are compared with theoretical results obtained from empirical equations and design codes. Also the experimental results are compared with the equations put forth by the other researchers and codes to estimate the shear strength of the steel fiber reinforced concrete deep beams without stirrups. 4.2 Cube Compressive Strength The results of cube compressive strength for case-I of beam size 90 mm wide and 360 mm deep having clear span of 600 mm after 28 days curing are obtained and presented in figure 4.1. For the tabulation values please refer annexure 1. Figure 4.1: Average cube compressive strength with respect to % Fiber content Case-I The maximum value of compressive strength is 51.30 N/mm2 and it is obtained for 3 % fiber content. The results of cube compressive strength for case-II of beam size beam size 90 mm wide and 330 mm deep having clear span of 600 mm after 28 days curing are obtained and are…

  • The Effect Of Crushed Quartz Filler On Water Reduction

3.4. Ternary systems MgO-SF-QF (MgO-SiO2-Quartz fillers) 3.4.1. Effect of crushed quartz filler on water reduction The idea of adding crushed quartz filler to M-S-H binder is inherited from replacement of Portland cement with quartz filler to improve the rheology of cement paste [25] due to the less water absorption and smooth texture of finely ground quartz particles. Fig. 9 described water reduction effect as adding crushed quartz filler (QF) to MgO-SiO2 binary system to maintain a fixed flow…

  • Ternary Systems Case Study

Ternary systems MgO-SF-QF 3.4.1. Effect of crushed quartz filler on water reduction The idea of adding crushed quartz filler to M-S-H binder is derived from a study of Portland cement replacement with quartz filler to improve the rheology [25] due to the less water absorption and smooth texture of finely ground quartz particles. Fig. 9, 10 described water reduction effect of adding crushed quartz filler to maintain a fixed flow of MgO-SF-QF ternary systems (Series 3, 4, 5). The replacement of…

  • Nt1310 Unit 6 Lab Report

broadened. More configurations will prove the feasibility of this design beyond the double constraint system suggested in Chapter 5, allowing for additional flexibility. Last, the testing results are presented and discussed. This concept serves to be the final solution for the initial design problem and motivation of this paper, the flexible compressions column. It meets all design criteria, and was successfully implemented into the final warrior web design. A test setup was designed and…

  • Informative Essay On Diesel Engines

Every conceivable problem that can happen with an engine has perhaps happened or will happen with the Duramax. The main problem was the aluminum block with the aluminum cylinder heads. Now a day’s, cars have blocks made from aluminum, and so are the heads, but they’re mixed with a stronger metal, or just in general made better. Duramax builds everything unwell. The aluminum heads on the Duramax went through head gaskets like no other. A head gasket goes around the cylinders and seals the gasses…

  • Informative Speech About Physical Therapy

extensive physical activity. When the body is pushed to the limits training and trying to strengthen muscles, they need to recover, to be able to eliminate soreness and get back to training faster, and see more results in less time. This can apply to anyone and everyone. If someone is just getting into working out or is very experienced, proper recovery can benefit all shapes and sizes because your body needs to recover, there is no way around it. After physical activity your body is…

  • Hamstring Injury Research Paper

muscles are vital to the proper function of the knee and leg and can affect a person's ability to walk, run, kick, and perform other physical activities at full strength. One of the most important jobs of the hamstring is knee flexion, but the hamstring also helps the upper body distribute its weight evenly over the lower body so people don't fall or stumble when they try to walk or run. Hamstring injuries are rated on a scale from one to three. Grade 1 injuries represent the most minor kinds of…

  • Sports Medical Research Paper

There are only about 710 job openings a year for a sports medical physician, according to Ohio Means Jobs (OMJ). Also, OMJ states that a sports medical physician have to diagnose, treat, and help prevent injuries that occur during sporting events, athletic training, and physical activities in their job. This field interests me because i love and want to help people, help them become better at their sport, and science and health class are very interesting to me. Sport medical physicians are…

  • Short Essay On Cincher

exercise is simply not there. To aid in this human dilemma, the cincher was developed to provide support and, more recently, enhance the physical appearance of the wearer. Nowadays Cincher's also offer the additional benefit of aiding in weight loss. The history of the Cincher can of course be derived from that which we know as corsets. Although the two may resemble each other in appearance, the Cincher is usually shorter than the corset and can be made from other materials. The Cincher was…
