There once was a walled city with a large Japanese palace with old brick buildings all of which were owned by an Emperor but his most prized possession was a giant ruby fixed in his throne this ruby put a protection field around his city to keep enemies out. one hazy morning he awoke to a horrendous sight the ruby had been stolen “where's my ruby” exasperated the Emperor, the entire palace was thrown into turmoil finally the ruby was turned in by Kumagaya a nearby gem dealer who had just realized what he had bought. Kumagaya stated that the man who had sold the gem to him had been wearing a hood and must have been a servant because he had the Emperor’s emblem on the side of his hood, had been quiet and was scrawny but was quick on his feet. Kumagaya pleaded for mercy and for the emperor to forgive him for his mistake, and so the Emperor made Kumagaya pay a fine and let Kumagaya be on his way the Emperor called all three of his servants that matched the description meet in the public plaza along with all of the city's citizens and the Emperor’s personal wizard whose moniker Severus potter “Hang them all” exclaimed the city's citizens in unison “I agree, what do you think Severus” announced the Emperor, Severus replied by stating “I have a way we can figure out who stole the ruby, just plant three bamboo shoots right here” Severus then claimed that whoever's bamboo shoot grows a finger's width had stolen the jewel so the Emperor was about to order a guard to guard the three…
