On March 26th, I attended a concert at Sidewinder in Austin, Texas. The venue hosted three bands: The Sweethearts, Two Tens, and The Dollyrots. All three were female-fronted punk rock bands, but The Sweethearts were the only band that was local. The other two were on tour with each other. John Heard was found dead Friday in a hotel room. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear at the moment. Heard had minor back surgery just a few days ago and now, he has passed away.
