The book Inferno was a very interesting book. It truly showed the poetic side of ancient history. It also conveys many of the system theories but it is more focused on Hierarchy, Trade/Communication, and Political/Social. In the first part of the book it shows the system of Hierarchy because it goes through all the different social classes and how each of them work. Also, how the people do their own way of running their village. Plus, in this village they have a leader and the leader tells the people what rules to follow and what to believe in. As the book, it says "And to the Master turned; and he made sign That I should quiet stand, and bow before him. Ah! How disdainful he appeared to me!” (Pg. 44, Line 86-89, Canto 4) This quote it showing…

novel that I have chosen for my culminating performance task is Ordinary People by Judith Guest. I have chosen this novel based on a spontaneous impulse which attracted me to the title of this novel. While the list of pre-screened pieces was being dictated, as soon as I heard the title Ordinary People, I had the sudden desire to search it up to find out what the novel is about. After having read a summary of the novel and several reviews on it, I knew that I had to choose this book for my task.…

The purpose of the articles is to inform the reader about why people burn books. I don’t understand why people would burn books. Burning books is a waste of time and money. If you aren't a fan of a book you could simply just not read the book. When the germans simply focus on burning books of jews it is hating on another type of human. “...Literary bonfires was intended as both a purge and a purification of the true german spirit”(Henley). It was obvious that the germans thought burning book…

While the problems of a foreign land might not initially attract some juvenile readers, the candor and simplicity of Perkins’ writing make not just the book, but the intellectual and political ideas behind the plot and theme, accessible. Short chapters help the book’s readability as well. Bamboo People is a novel that is skillfully told that we realize only much later that we’ve been educated to boot—which is as should be. The novel introduces not one but two different cultures. Perkins weaves…

By reading this book I think it really helps with patient delivery care. This book was very interesting. Pat Moore went out of her way to turn into an elderly lady, because she was determined to see exactly how the elderly get treated or even how one day when she is “old” how she would possibly be treated. I think it was a great idea, because it just goes to show how elderly are really treated by other people. I think if more people read this they will have a different outlook on “old” people. …
