    Most of those who choose to open carry are proud that we are supported by the other peacekeepers out there and having that support causes us to be confident that we can protect ourselves and our families if the situation presents its self. Some anti-gun activists assume that if we have an open carry permit, we would be more likely to harm others than those who choose not to open carry. Just as it would be unfair to say that all gun owners are responsible with their weapons, in my opinion, most of us are. Those who do carry any weapon no matter what is will need to understand that by making the choice to carry we need to be mentally prepared to lose something. If and when we are put in a situation where we have to defend another life we will undoubtedly lose something no matter what. It might be emotional, financial or physical, but we will lose something.
