“Mark, did you hear that?” I asked my older brother. “Go to sleep, it’s one in the morning!” Mark said. I closed my eyes but lied there perfectly still listening for the sound again. I didn’t hear it, but I fell asleep trying to listen for it. The sun woke me up shining on my face from my window because we haven’t put up any curtains in our room yet. We have a lot of other things we have to do on the house since we just moved in. I get out of bed and Mark is still snoring, so I grab my pillow and him in the back and told him he needs to get up or he’s going to be late. We get dressed and go downstairs to eat breakfast. Mom made us pancakes, bacon, eggs and toast for the first day of school. She always makes us a big breakfast on our first day of the new school year. On the way to school I try to ask Mark about the noise, but he kept saying that I was crazy. After listening to the teachers introduce themselves to us in every class that we had and spending hours talking about their children or their grandchildren it was finally time to go home. Mark had already made some new friends, Justin and Nathan. They are twins and they lived just a few houses down from where we live. One our way home Justin and Nathan were telling us stories about the house that we moved in to. They said, “The people that used to live there had a few kids, then one mysteriously went missing in the house. Everyone thought that it was the parents that killed their child and claimed that he ran away since…

he had run away. How far could my dog have gone? I wondered if he was okay, if he had ate today or not. The last thing we all want to do when we are reading a book is flipping the pages back and forth to understand the page you we are reading. Blackwater by Kerstin Ekman, was one of the most interesting and most complicated books I have ever read. Being used to American writing style, it was pretty hard to stay on track with Black Water since it’s a Swedish novel. Being a detective is the last thing I would of have thought of myself. The readers of The Blackwater have become an unlicensed…

I never was the writer who lived a rich life grand with detailed stories that gave them initial inspiration on my creation of a character, detail of a line or the crafting of a setting/scenario. I will say that the only initial theme quantities I enforce are biblical allusions or themes that work as political commentary on religious matter. No matter what I am writing about it try my best to express a political statement or…

I chose to rewrite Lesson 1 because I made a blatant mistake of referring to the Israelites as Israeli’s. Also, after my post, I did additional research about the plagues and found that the translation varied widely in various editions of the Bible. I felt this observation was worthy of discussion. What values are passed on in these Bible stories? Would you think of any of these values differently if you were a child? In what ways has American culture retained these Judeo-Christian roots?…
