and advertisements to promote the event. Next, we would execute the plan. This often involved decorating the setting, gathering materials, monitoring the event (running stands and games), and cleaning up afterwards. The other volunteering I was a part of was the Halloween/Fall Festivals at local elementary schools. Both festivals had me work one game the entire time. At the first festival, I was running the spider web maze game. This involved monitoring little kids as they attempted to crawl through a string maze and give them a prize if they complete the task successfully (I often gave them a prize even if they touched a string). At the second festival, I was in charge of gathering all the Nerf bullets at the cowboy target game. This included crawling around on the floor (while kids shoot Nerf guns) and gather the bullets that fall on the floor and giving them back to the little kids. All three of my service projects taught and surprised me in their own ways. 2. My service projects made me feel something and surprised me in interesting ways. SCA made me feel proud because we had to work together quickly and efficiently in order to set up a student event I also felt accomplished because the feedback for each of our events was positive. SCA surprised me because I was elected to be president despite being new to the school and not knowing anyone. Working at the festivals made me feel a little overwhelmed because I was trying really hard to keep the kids, at both events, from…

Title: 2-D Kinematics Purpose: The purpose of this experiment was to determine and relate the distance of a nerf-gun with a dart shooting out of it at an angle of 45 degrees. In addition, find the displacement and average acceleration of the dart as it shoot out of the nerf-gun. Hypothesis: If the dart is shooting out of the nerf-gun with choosing a small angle, then the distance will become larger, because if shooting at a right angle the dart is going to go straight up and then fall, but…

Using kinematic equations, you will determine where a target will land. This experiment ignores air resistance. This projectile is launched with a speed of v(0) at an unknown angle. Therefore, the shape of the motion is predicted to be parabolic. Procedure The nerf gun is set up to a ring stand at approximately 50 cm above the table. Pick an unknown angle other than 0 or 90 degrees to launch the nerf bullet. Adjust the launcher so that it projects the projectile onto the table. For the first…
