1. THE PLOT Buck went into the primitive. Primitive is an early stage or development of something. Buck was treated very good by the Judge Miller family. In chapter one, Buck was “dog-napped” by the gardener Manuel, while the Judges were not home. So then Buck went “into the primitive”, he was mistreated and abused for the first time.
