    my desire to share the gospel with people, not only because of the need I saw there but because the need it reminded me of at home. God has shown me a lot about walking in trust with Him and following where He leads me. Your conviction about how the Lord is leading you to seminary: Over the last few years, the Lord has really guided and led me to the point I am today. I had made my plans and had great ideas of what I wanted to do with the degree I was earning at Stephen F. Austin State University. However, in going to college and getting involved in ministry and my church, I gained a really wonderful community. The plan I had would have meant an internship in Dallas and less time in Nacogdoches, where I had a great community and was a part of valuable ministry. By choosing to stay in Nacogdoches, I had to give up what I wanted to do and trust where God was leading me. Through doing this, I grew a lot in my relationship with God. Over all, as I researched degrees and careers, I came across counseling. Counseling partners my degree in Child Development with a wonderful opportunity to help child and families. In researching schools, I was told by a friend to look into DTS. As I did, I got more and more excited about the opportunity to help children and families by pointing them to God through counseling.
