Also these are some ways policemen in every city can do to decrease texting and driving. The second way to decrease texting and driving is by adding on more penalties. While some states have already done this, fines or some sort of penalty needs to be placed to stop texting while driving. “Texting while driving is a moving traffic violation and may be a criminal misdemeanor in certain jurisdictions. Studies have shown that texting while driving increases the risk of a vehicle crash by anywhere from 2.8 to 23.2 times than normal.
