Biker Boyz Critique DeWaun Bowman Methodist University The movie Biker Boyz is very powerful and it carries a strong message throughout the entire movie. It’s about the underground world of motorcycle clubs and not so legal street racing. A young man who is 18 years old named Kid (Derek Luke). Started his own motorcycle club named “Biker Boyz” after witnessing the death of his dad “Slick Will” at one of these races. He wants to be the one in charge the one everyone idealized or as the movie portrays it, “The King of Cali.” The label is currently being held by his biological father “Smoke” (Laurence Fishburne). This movie tries to depict something that happens in the underground world of the biker gangs. The end of the movie tells the full aspect of the entire movie when Kid said, “the difference between men and boys is the lessons they learn and my father taught me plenty.” I feel this is an accurate respectable movie. Yes, it’s about motorcycle street racing, however there is more than that going on. Biker Boyz is also about relationships, love and the struggles it takes to obtain goals that has been set. This to me makes the story intense and anchored with a moral compass. For this I rated this movie a four out of five stars. Biker Boyz was compact with great actors. Even though they were not all used to their fullest capability like in their past movies, collectively it was an outstanding performance. The two main characters really nailed it, played…
