He feels that people are focusing on all the wrong things in life, thus leading them to lead empty lives. Today’s culture, according to him, is too media driven, and the people in it are too greedy, violent, self centered, and corrupt; and they’re so brainwashed that they don’t even know they’re living such a materialistic and empty lifestyle.
