History Maker Homes and I checked off tasks on an individual agreement that will be completed over the length of the internship. Four of the agreed upon task are procurement and expediting, project planning and scheduling, cost controls, and project administration. During my internship each task is to be worked on to learn the process of residential construction which will build my experience for a future career. Procurement and expediting is the process of gathering materials from an external service to be used on sites by calling or emailing the company. I am currently still working on completing this task and will continue to use it until the end of my internship because this is a vital task when building homes in the residential field. During the construction of every home I accomplish this task by contacting contractors to have materials delivered to the jobsite.
