people in this world that care about my education and the education of others as well. Knowing that the LAEF foundation cares about my education as much as my parents do makes me want to excel in and out of school. I can say that the LAEF scholarship has impacted my educational experience because it has given me motivation, determination, and has also given me a chance to set a goal for myself. The LAEF scholarship pushes me and gives me the extra support I need to do well in all my classes since I am determined to get a 4.0 GPA. For the past four semesters at the Community College of Aurora I have made that goal come true (although my over all GPA is 3.85) and I am determined to keep it that way now that I have transferred to Metropolitan State University of Denver. Aside from motivation and determination the LAEF scholarship has also given me a chance to set another goal for myself in higher education, which is to finish my undergraduate in no more than two years and then start pursuing a master’s degree. With a maters degree I believe I can help people more because I do believe that god put me in this world to help others in any way I can.
