    Ossineke, Alpena, Michigan. If you use your right hand palm as a map of Michigan, it’s located in the point finger. It has been 2 months away from my arrival, time flew so quickly. The first time I came here, I figured out that I have been pronouncing my city name in the wrong way. The right one is Ossineke(Os-san-nek) ,not like my awkward Indonesia pronunciation with palembangnesse accent. My host family name is Maggie, she is very kind and friendly.Everywhere we go to places in the city; Restaurant, Thunder Bay Theatre, and Music Festival, there’s always a person that knows her. My host family’s house is just 10 minutes away from the downtown. Alpena and Ossineke are well known as the sunrise side of the north Michigan and a tourist vacation destination. If you come here in the summer there will be tons of people enjoying the heat of summer and the beautiful wave of Lake Huron. Lake Huron (French: Lac Huron) is one of the five Great Lakes of North America. Hydrologically, it comprises the easterly portion of Lake Michigan–Huron, it having the same surface elevation as its westerly counterpart, to which it is connected by the 5-mile-wide (8.0 km), 20-fathom-deep (120 ft; 37 m) Straits of Mackinac.
