As I read the book I noticed that he had backed up his whole case for discipleship with Scripture. It almost seems like a commentary on the Gospel of Matthew as much time he gives to the Sermon on the Mount. I read the book of Mark annually when going through the Bible with my Sunday school class but I’ve never done a deep review or study of this book. For me Mark has always seemed a little less organized then Matthew.
