Thermal dispersion mass flow meters, often called thermal mass flow meters, rely on the transmission of heat from a body to a gas flow. Inside the flow meter sensor head, a heated resistance thermometer (RTD) is electronically compared with an unheated RTD sensor. As a gas passes the heated RTD, heat is transferred from this sensor to the gas, and hence the RTD is cooled, thereby reducing the temperature difference between the two sensors. Heat transfer from the RTD to the process gas is based on the composition of the gas, therefore the temperature difference between the two RTDs is a function of the mass flow rate of the gas. The electronics of the meter can be an integral part of, the meter or mounted remotely (for instance for easy access…

Subject: Heat Transfer from Steam to Water Date: 11/01/2013 Summary: The objective of this experiment was to investigate the overall heat transfer ( Uₒ ) for the external heat exchanger at two different water circulation rates by using two methods “ Heating Liquids in Tank Storage ” and “ Corning Heat Exchanger “ . Briefly, the measurements were done by changing the volume flow rate between 40 lbm/min and 70 lbm/min for the first part of the experiment which was “Heating Liquids in Tank…

I have a love/hate relationship with Pinterest. I signed up after being egged on by my two sisters who both enjoyed collecting pins at the time. I've lost track of my younger sister's activity-being a social butterfly she's most likely moved on to bigger and better things, but my older sister persisted-especially after the arrival of her first child. I pinned at first with enthusiasm, but the pressure to complete pins I'd added to my boards began to haunt me, and a few feeble recipe attempts…

\THE YOGABRAIN® STORY While participating in a Sun Salutation Practice being run in Brisbane, Australia, Henry had a chance to chat with Alana who was running the practice. We talked about how hard it was for both student and teacher to count the full 108 rounds of the practice session. Since you were having to keep count of the rounds, this did not allow you to enter the flow state of mind. Instead, you had to constantly work to remember where you were in the count. Is There an App for this?…

Barclays is a financial institution guilty of fraudulent activity, including misrepresentation of interbank borrowings as well as reporting incredulously low rates to allow the perception of financial health. Many banks were involved and colluding in these practices, therefore one can certainly conclude that the problem does not lie solely with the panel banks but the financial system and its governing regulators as well. LIBOR stands for London Interbank Offered Rate; it was intended to be a…

A fluid in which the viscous stresses taken place from its flow at all the point are linearly proportional to the rate of change in its deformation over time is called Newtonian fluid. Newtonian fluid explains the relationship between the shear rate and the shear stress is linear with the proportionality constant, which is to be referred as the coefficient of viscosity. Non-Newtonian fluid is a fluid where the properties of fluid flow are not similar with Newtonian fluid. In Newtonian fluids,…

Heat will be moved from the hot smoke to the descending cold air and from smoke to the atrium walls. Then if the cross sectional area of the atrium is small and the HRR of fire is high enough, smoke column will be created and flooding flow will occur in the atrium, too. In other hand, if the cross sectional area of the atrium is high and the HRR of fire is small, smoke column will not create in the atrium and floding flow will not occur to vent smoke. The amount of pressure for the rocket remained constant throughout all of the test launches, which was an amount of 80LB in2. As required, the amount of pressure was converted from LBin2to Nm2. The way to find velocity was previously stated. The equation for finding or mass flow rate is as follows: mass of…
