In an Iron Man 2 movie cover found on the Amazon website, there are four people on the poster. Specifically, there are two men and two women. The men are positioned above the women and are dressed in suits. Both women appear to be wearing tight, form-fitting clothes. While the men are wearing sharp suits that seem to emphasizes their size. The women’s clothes seems to be used to play up their beauty, while the men’s’ seems to be to enhance their powerful look. The background is mostly black with two different Iron Men positioned behind the four people. The men are in the center of the cover, while the women are near the sides. An interesting aspect of this poster is that everyone is wearing dark clothing. The men and women are all wearing black clothing which could indicate that on the outside, men and women are similar. The similar colors of the clothes almost act like jerseys and create a team-like look out of the four people. The background is a gloomy, cloudy sky that is paired with an extreme foreground of a man surrounded by a fireball. The man is standing on a very dirty environment that seems to be covered in sand. This could indicate that the man is lower class and he is poor. These contrast each other significantly and bring out the middle of the poster involving the four people. The poster seems to direct all attention to the men, specifically Robert Downey Jr. (RDJ). He is positioned in the center of the poster, and he is wearing a commanding outfit complete with…

Shooting for Masculine Protection The rifle company Bushmaster wants you to “consider your man card reissued” as you get your hands on their manliness-boosting firearms. The advertisement features a lonely rifle depicted in front of a white background. It is clean and straight forward; this weapon will confirm your manliness. Before reading the novel, I knew feminism only from stereotypes, being women who hated men in general. From my perspective with what society calls feminism, it seems the meaning behind it is women who have argued against men without any apparent reason. As if feminism is a horrible thing a woman can be. Since feminism doesn’t come up much in television or social media I am not sure what the feud is all about when people start to discuss about it. When it does appear in my social media,…

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the author's rhetorical purpose is to teach us about Feminism and masculism. To show men are not the other actors. In most stories with a knight the man is always the main character, in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight the main character is Lady Bertilak.
