juice in milk affect the amount of curds produced? Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to determine whether or not adding more drops of lemon juice to the milk, would increase or decrease the mass of curdled milk formed. Background Information: Curd is a substance formed when milk begins to sour, or in this case, when lemon juice was added to it. The longer milk sits out, the more curds will form, just like when adding more lemon juice to the milk. As more lemon juice was added to the…
I chose this species because I want to come up with ways to help their depleting population. They are 4-8 centimeters long, and they have stout bodies with a tubercle at the end of both of their hind feet. Because the tubercle looks like a spade, this is where the word “spade” in their name comes from. These toads are said to smell like peanut butter, and those who handle them that have allergies with peanuts may have an allergic reaction. What is different about them from other toads are that…

Pollan believes the industrial food chain is a bad process to make food. One example that he mentioned was, “Basically, almost all of the cattle in the feedlot are are sick. And it’s their corn-based diet that makes them ill” (58). This quote indicates that if the cows are sick we would barely have any meat or our meat would be ill and that would cause us to feel ill. He also announced, “By giving antibiotics to the millions of cattle in the U.S. we are actually breeding new superbacteria that…

Mexicue is a Mexican restaurant hence, the "Mex" at the beginning. It has its very own modern/vintage type of look which is not terrible. I ordered Poke (po-kay) just to taste the twist this restaurant made on the dish and it contained tuna, avocado, brown rice, mango, watermelon radish, creamy chipotle and mint. The tuna sort of had this melt in your mouth feel however it was bland so I added chipotle sauce on top and made it way more appetizing. The watermelon radish is not one of my favorites…
