    Three decay ago, John E Kennedy said "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country"; one way to avail your country is to serve in the country’s army. Around the world, there are two types of regular armies, the first is the all-volunteer army, and the other is the compulsory army. All-volunteer army or in other word all-volunteer force (AVF) is army standing on the volunteer vigor, the manpower all volunteer to serve in the army; one of the first countries make this idea is united kingdom since 1960, as consequently Australia and New Zealand followed united kingdom in 1972. Furthermore, in 1972 during the Vietnam War United States apply the AVF. The Indian army is considered one of the biggest volunteer armies around the world (Eikenberry, 2013). On the other side, in compulsory army or in other word drafting, the army summons the people of the country to do their duty to their country; the duration of the service ranging from one year to eight years depends on the army of the country. Although people claim that all-volunteer army is one form of democracy and improve efficiency of its force, all-volunteer army makes people delinquent in their rights to their country and decreases the proficiency of the army force. In my opinion compulsory army is a form of equality and a strong integrated force. Some people see different prospective that the idea of all-volunteer army is a way to apply freedom in any country.
