Burgundy and it history relates to food from the production of wine. Being a region of France with such a beautiful rich history as its country side. Burgundy is located in eastern central France. It is approximately 100 kilometers south of Paris and stretched down to Lyon. It is bordered to the south by the Rhone-Aples, to the north by Champagne-Ardennes and Ile-de-France, west by Centre and east by Franche-Comte. The region of Burgundy id broken up into four departments consisting of Cote-d’or, Saone-et-Loire, Yonne, and Nievre. Some prominent features of this region is the vast country side of hills and valleys. The vast forests, rivers, ponds, and lakes add the beauty of this region.
