The two major differences in the scenes when arriving to treasure island greatly impact the portrayal of Long John Silver. In this scene in the novel he is seen as a ruthless evil man, due to the fact of him killing an innocent man. In the movie however, John Silver is portrayed as a man that wants to be redeemed and no visible evil traits are seen, just Silver’s immoral actions. This proves that although the movie, Treasure Island, is based off of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel, slight changes can greatly impact the portrayal of a character. In this case, based on this scene, John Silvers character has changed from the novels view as a murderer, to the movies portrayal as a man struggling with his immorality. The change of Silver also effects Jim’s character. Jim would definitely feel different about silver in the movie if he had witnessed him killing an innocent member of the crew such as he did in the novel. However, in both the novel and the movie, Long John Silver is portrayed as the anti-hero, and as a redeemed villain due to his…

Typical for the ICPs is a strong interdependence between chemical, structural and electronic properties. For instance, small changes in film morphology induced by additional solvents can increase conductivity by more than two orders of magnitude. Changing (poly) anions can…
