President Eisenhower, nine black students enter Central High and complete their first day. Just three weeks ago, Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus sent National Guard troops to prevent the students from entering. He has now been over ruled by President Eisenhower. Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas National Guard and sent in 1,000 army paratroopers to enforce the integration in Little Rock.
