The purpose of this lab was to determine how different solvents affect the solubility of sugar. In this experiment 2 grams of sugar was mixed into 50 ml of rubbing alcohol, water and vegetable oil. It was hypothesized that the rubbing alcohol would dissolve the sugar the best followed by the water, and the vegetable oil would fail to dissolve the sugar.
