The kinetics of the reaction between peroxomonosulphate with Lactic acid was studied in the presence of Mn(II) at alkaline pH. The reaction followed first order with respect to peroxomonosulphate. The rate of the reaction was studied under pseudo first order condition and found to increases with the [Mn(II)] and lactic acid. Thermodynamic parameters were calculated and reported. Based on the results a rate equation, kinetic scheme and a most probable mechanism has been predicted. Keywords: Alpha…

model, and they met or exceeded minimal levels (Ade-Oshifogun, 2012). All research information was scrutinized for any missing data. All data were subjected to univariate analysis of variance (Ade-Oshifogun, 2012). Path analysis with multiple linear regressions was utilized to test the relationships among the study variables (Ade-Oshifogun, 2012). The techniques utilized were appropriate for this study as they accurately verified that the data were valid and…

navigate hypermedia environments through a highly supported linear progression, while FI learners are better able to analyze information presented to them and prefer to use an index over a map to progress through the hypermedia environment. FI learners will rely on nonlinear approaches to navigate hypermedia environments, and feel comfortable and confident doing so (Lee, Cheng, Rai, & Depickere, 2005). Through correlation studies and tree-regression techniques, the…

2013) which encompassed Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Foreign Reserves (FR) (as independent variables) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (as the dependent variable) signifying the Nigeria economy. The data were analysed through the use of linear regression and correlation techniques. The formulated hypotheses were tested with the use of t-test and F-ratio. Findings suggest that the independent variables (FDI and…

Maximum contractile force production dependant on muscle and sarcomere length in isolated sartorius muscle of Rhinella marina Abstract: An isolated Sartorius muscle of Rhinella marina was repeatability stimulated with electrical impulses to induce isometric contraction. Contractile forces evoked were measured with a force transducer and the relationship between force and muscle length was investigated through the modulation of sample lengths from 80%-140% of the sample resting length. The data…

emotions and the third factor, labelled ‘Cognitive Re-appraisal,’ represented a form of Deep Acting which has not been measured by previous scales of EL and involves using the imagination to alter inappropriate emotions. Three hierarchical multiple regression analyses showed that all of the personality factors except openness predicted at least one emotional labour strategy and that EI only predicted Cognitive Re-appraisal. The results provide further evidence that the previous research had…

The results of analysis on table 1 presented the demographic characteristics of cattle farmers in the study area. A large proportion were male (95.9%) than the female (4.1%), which is an indication that male participated more than female in the awareness and the use of crop residue urea feeding technology. The findings also revealed that majority (40 – 50 years) of cattle farmers are in their middle ages which implies that age was an important variable as it reflects the physical strength for…
