At first glance Kristen Ward may look like just some average teacher, but you are so wrong. Born and raised in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin she has a bit more of a background than just a teacher. With an excellent perception of view and organization she is a civil engineer at heart and mind. Even growing up, she was her parents “little engineer” always ready to design new things and create new space. From a very young age Ward had an interest for design and organization. Her dad would sometimes give her graph paper for her to draw the layout of her “dream house”. Her thoughts on him were simply stating, “I like the way his buildings interacted with nature, it's just so beautiful.” From this point a spark in her imagination led her to where she is today. Her love for these classes came directly from her enjoyment of shape interactions and combining things to make a better whole. She explains, “I always liked making space and putting things into that space, to then watch it all blend together.” In school her main aspirations and goals were to get into graduate school, pass her thesis presentation, and find something that she loved to do. At the time before graduate school she didn't think she would…
