ON THE OUTSKIRTS of Leptis Magna, Aurelius Falco, along with Rubio and Titus Buccio, arrived at the expansive villa and stable complex of Tertius Honoratus. It was late in the morning and it was still cool and crisp, still a good hour until noonday. He was flanked by two huge Numidian bodyguards, each one armed with a long hasta-spear and sheathed dagger. Honoratus smiled largely as Falco exited the wagon, his hands gesturing…

He was correct in introducing the Magna Carta which clearly helped the future a lot, and he also strengthened monarchy an insufficient but needed amount. He had also kept good records during his time. In my opinion, he could have been a better king by altering his decisions to suit all his people, also not using all his money then increasing all taxes because then people will lose money and may not be able to handle living with little money. Any ruler’s actions will anger some people no matter…

We tend to stray from this idea towards the time of the Virginia Declaration of Rights. God is not mentioned in the U.S. constitution after…

Why was the Magna Carta an important part of the Middle Ages? The Magna Carta was an important part of the Middle Ages because it was the first important document signed in that time. King John came into rule after his brother Richard but his rule over England wasn't as significant as his brothers. In 1204 John lost the battle against…

A primary source is a document that was created at the time of a historical event. Some examples include: the Declaration of Independence, the Magna Carta, and the Mayflower Compact. All of these are documents written by an individual who was personally involved in a historical event. They are not telling us what other people witnessed; they are telling us what they witnessed. The primary source that I want to look at is a first-hand account of the battle of Lexington and Concord during the…
