    Lilac Child Observation

    Since her mom works at a school I was able to see Lilac use scissors well playing in a math center in the classroom before we signed her out. Lilac was able to hold the scissor correctly and cutting the piece of paper she wanted. Lilac is also in the developing stage of measure 43 by completing her assignment and is able to leave the supplies at the table before getting up. After my second observation with Lilac I was able to see her complete DRDP measure’s one, two, three, four, five, and seven. She was able to show me that she has been able to show feels to another child that is sad, taking turns with one another, building relationships with adults, impulse control, recognition of own skills and accomplishments, as well as being able to show me identify to self. It was interesting to see Lilac interact with children her age. I have known Lilac for quite some time and it is amazing how smart and independent she is becoming. As this course continued I was able to create an assessment game that went really well…
