    Why would you put their lives in danger knowing fully of the consequences? Is it all because of capitalists’ selfish need to make more money? But before jumping on the bandwagon and trying to defend the use of sweatshops using the theories of supply and demand, globalization and division of labor. It should be noted that these theories all emphasize on the fact that when there’s demand, supply (use of sweatshop labor) has to be increased, but it still doesn’t justify why workers are being treated as slaves in their workplace. Moreover, since demand and supply have been increased, it is definite that profit is being made as the total marginal revenue of the firm would increase and the workers in the sweatshops should be highly compensated from these profits by raising their wages, making their working environment conducive to work and by providing good health insurance for the workers. But if the sweatshops are located in another country and the workers are being paid more than the minimum wage in that country, then the owners should create workers benefits such field trips, good health facilities…
