    There are television shows dedicated only on the practice of tattooing. One show, LA Ink, is a reality show acquired by famous tattoo artist, television personality and cosmetics entrepreneur, Kat Von D. The show is filmed in Von D’s Los Angeles tattoo studio, where multiple celebrities visit to get tattoos done by well-known tattoo artist, Kat Von D. Musician Jason Mraz; singer Christina Perri, and hip-hop artists Ja Rule and Soulja Boy all appeared as celebrity guests on seasons throughout the show. Another show, INK MASTER, hosted by guitarist and songwriter Dave Navarro focuses on the practice of tattooing. However, this show allows contestants to compete for the “ink master” title and also for a hundred thousand dollars. On INK MASTER, contestants compete by actually tattooing on other people, people who participate to be permanently marked and sacrifice their skin only for the contestants to try to get the title of “ink master”. Inked is a magazine that covers the lifestyle of those who are tattooed or “inked”. Celebrities like Kat Von D and Avril Lavigne have appeared on the front cover of Inked.
