    Wakefern Reflection

I hope to have a deck ready to present by 2017. In RTEC, I’ve been able to install doors and windows for Kellogg’s on the current Shoprite POG. I worked closely with Mark Daley, General Mills and category captain, on the plans. By doing this, I was able to put in place a full vertical door of Special K cereal, and windows on Raisin Brand and Frosted Mini Wheats. This went into effect on the October update of the RTEC POG. I was also able to help improve assortment in RTEC. We were able to get Raisin Bran Crunch 24 oz. on the POG, as well as the new FF Marshmallow, FF Cinnamon, RB Crunch Strawberry Apple, and Chips Deluxe Cereal. I am hoping to continue testing Target Age Flow sets at Shoprite, expanding on our current two store test. Results have been favorable on the current test stores. In Natural Organic RTEC, I was able to add in an extra Kashi Go Lean SKU to close the assortment gap. Our current Kashi brand block is much improved as well, as it has gone into a more vertical block. I am still looking to implement Project Strike Zone at Wakefern, and will follow up with Lisa Gately on this project. In Wholesome Snacks, progress has been made to implement Kellogg scorecard priorities. By working with Mark Daley, I’ve been able to improve brand blocking on Special K and Nutrigrain, and even created sub segment blocking on Special K. All 2016/2017 has and will be added to the POG. I am currently working on a new vision of the Wholesome Snack POG that has clear…

This device consists of several heating ducts housing with long screws. The screws help mix water, sweeteners, salt, vitamins, and minerals into the flour.…

We’ve probably all seen General Mills’ new Cheerios commercial, where the company announces that its cereal is now gluten-free for the enjoyment of people with celiac disease or who cannot or do not consume gluten. It looks like they’re taking some of their word back. I always hear people raving about eating whole grains and I never fully understood why until I researched Barley. Barley is well known for being a main ingredient in beer but not many people know it is a big staple not only in diet but in culture. Barley has been cultivated for over 8000 years and can be traced back to the Aztec culture. According to research the term “hordearii” means barley-eater. Aztec gladiators were referred to as hordeariis. Also, before we came up with the measurement…
